Student Leadership

The Student Leadership club focuses on school activities, community services and leadership skills. It is offered to fourth and fifth graders. Each student gets the chance to develop their service skills for the school and community by participating in Parent Teacher Association (PTA) events, Veterans Day Play, community outreach projects and school-involved duties.

It is a great way for Elk Creek students to become mindful of the school, community and one another. The school hopes the club gives them a chance to belong to a bigger purpose and become school leaders and beyond.

Responsibilities

Our student leaders participate in morning announcements, recycling and flag duty. The club usually meets monthly, before school, to plan, execute and discuss leadership methods, projects and team-building activities.

Any fourth- or fifth-grader can participate in Student Leadership by filling out a permission slip and attending the meetings. Students who come in the middle of the year can also join. Contact the Student Leadership team.
