School Accountability Committee
The Elk Creek Elementary School Advisory Committee (ECE SAC) meets six times throughout each school year. It is tasked with playing a part in the decision-making process by offering opinions and insight to the principal. As an advisory committee, it works in a collaborative capacity with the principal to address several key, mandated topics that affect students, teachers and the elementary school as a whole.
The ECE SAC fulfills the requirements and topics outlined by Colorado Revised Statutes Section 22-11-402, including:
- School budget
- School Unified Plan (UIP)
- Parent, family and community engagement
- Priority Improvement or Turnaround plan (when applicable)
It also addresses topics unique to Elk Creek and its students and teachers, including student experience, academic reporting and other improvement ideas. The ECE SAC must comply with all guidelines and purposes outlined by the district and state.
