• Call the attendance line to report your child's absence.
• If your child will be late to school due to an appointment, call the attendance line before 8 a.m. 
• When a student arrives late or must leave early for an appointment, parents or guardians must sign them out in the office.
• Review Jeffco's policy on excused and unexcused absences.
• For questions about attendance procedures, contact the enrollment secretary.

For planned absences, parents and guardians must complete the Pre-Arranged Absence Form. They must return the form to the teacher at least one week before the planned absence. These forms are not required for doctor or dentist appointments.

The importance of regular, daily school attendance as a basis for academic achievement cannot be overemphasized. Attendance is a shared responsibility of the student, the families and the school.

It is the family’s responsibility to ensure their student attends school and to notify the school when their student is absent for a legitimate reason, such as an illness or family emergency. Each family should also ensure their student’s school has their correct contact information so that the school is able to communicate about any attendance issues that may arise.
