Jeffco Public Schools supports student teachers by matching you with highly-qualified mentor teachers and providing a variety of learning supports during your experience.

Information for Jeffco Principals

We know that many of our schools are feeling the effects of the nationwide teacher shortage. As a district we are in need of both short and long-term solutions.

Jeffco HR Talent Acquisition team is working on long-term options for attracting and retaining new teachers in Jeffco. This is our student teacher program. For the student teacher program to succeed, we need mentor teachers to host them!

The role of the mentor teacher is key to the success of our future educators. We need your help identifying teachers in your building who: 

• Qualify for this growth opportunity,
• Show interest in this growth opportunity, and
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement, lifelong learning, and equitable access to effective teaching.
